Handing out access

terraform apply writes out/<prefix>-credentials.csv (git-ignored) with one line per VM:

handle,role,host,user,password,ssh
ana-s,student,ck2609-ana-s.westeurope.cloudapp.azure.com,student,Xy7!k..,ssh student@ck2609-ana-s.westeurope.cloudapp.azure.com

Send each student their line only (e-mail or chat DM), together with this text:

Your lab machine for the course is ready. Connect with ssh student@<host> and the password below (you will be asked to change nothing; the machine is yours for the duration of the course and is destroyed afterwards). VS Code users: install the Remote – SSH extension and open the same host. The machine shuts down automatically at 21:00 Lisbon time; if you want to work later, ask the instructor to start it again.

Everything from Lab 00 is already installed. Start with Lab 00, Step 10 (“Verify everything”) — it should pass straight away.

Tip: column -s, -t < out/<prefix>-credentials.csv prints the table nicely.
